My Thoughts On The Ongoing Elections

Fellow Champion,

I am so excited about the level of peace we have seen so far in the 2015 elections.
However, we have lost two lives so far in this excercise. I deeply sympathise with their families.

It is important for us to know that if Nigeria will be peaceful after the elections, you and I have a role to play and most of us are already playing roles that may aggravate tension.

According to Prof. Attahiru Jega, "it is illegal to broadcast any electoral results and start to make projections when INEC has not declared same."

Some people are sending conflicting results and reports via Social Media. This act has the potential of inciting violence.

Please I don't want to hear that any Youth is injured or dead in this excercise. Let us do all we can to maintain peace and discourage any act that may aggravate tension.

The future of Nigeria is in our hands, please let's stay alive to build it.

Please share this with your friends and your friends' friends. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q47y3TjKxtI

You & I During Election 2015

Fellow Champion,

PEACEFUL CONDUCT OF ELECTION is not the exclusive responsibility of the Government, Government Agencies or Security Agencies.

Having A Peaceful Election is the primary obligation of every Nigerian - every Champion.

You and I must promote peace by not engaging in unnecessary conversations that may heat up the polity.

You and I must discourage any attempt of aggression by any individual or group of individuals within our sphere of influence.

You and I must think peace, speak peace and act in a peaceful manner before, during and after the elections.

You and I must not forget that scores of people have left this country thinking there would be violence. Please let us disappoint them.

You and I must remember that while some politicians are worth-voting for, NO POLITICIAN IS WORTH-DYING for.

You and I must use our Social Media platforms, our clubs, associations and organisations as avenues to promote peace.

You and I must know that we have more to lose if there's chaos. Those we are fighting for have all the resources to easily protect themselves and their relatives in times of chaos.

You and I must know that we can only dream and hope to achieve our dreams when there is peace.

Please send this to every peace loving Nigerian.

I Remain,

Abiola Salami

Mothers: Thank You for Raising Champions

Dear Mothers,

How can we imagine the excruciating pain and agony of carrying a foetus for 270 days
How else would we have obtained proper nutrition at every stage of our developmental days
How can we imagine the sacrifices and commitment from our conception to our maturation
How else would we have obtained intelligence and creativity without the early touch of motherhood
How can we appreciate her for multi-tasking, multi-feeding, multi-supporting, multi-committing and multi-stretching

Who else would have given us full attention, full commitment and full succour even in our adult years
Who else would be communicating without speaking and you’ll get the message succinctly so far you can read her face
Who else would be patient with our foolishness
Who else would be kind with our errors
Who else would care and care again and again even when the beneficiary of the care doesn’t care about her care

What else could be more comforting than the shield of warmth embrace from the world’s #1 BodyGuard
What else could be more assuring than the hope of healthy living as provided by the world’s #1 Therapist
What else could be more satisfying than the hope of fresh home-made meals from the world’s #1 Chef
What else could be more fulfilling than the in-built confidence from the positive words of the world’s #1 Advocate
What else could be rewarding to this #1 BodyGuard, #1 Therapist, #1 Chef and #1 Advocate than a sincere appreciation

MOTHERS, on behalf of all the CHAMPIONS you have raised, here’s is saying a big THANK YOU.
THANK YOU for your sacrifices that made us grow from CHILDREN to CHAMPIONS.
